What is HAARP Technology?    HAARP, which stands for High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, is a scientific program that was established to study the ionosphere, a region of the Earth's upper atmosphere. The HAARP program was based in Gakona, Alaska and was funded by the US Air Force, US Navy, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).  The HAARP facility consisted of a large array of radio frequency transmitters and antennas that were used to generate high-frequency radio waves that were then directed into the ionosphere. These radio waves were used to heat and ionize the ionosphere, creating artificially induced ionospheric disturbances that could be studied to better understand the behavior of this part of the Earth's atmosphere.  Key areas of research for HAARP One of the key areas of research for HAARP was the study of auroras, which are natural displays of light that occur in the Earth's polar regions as a result of charged particles in the io
